The tale of the Annee Palmer, the famed White Witch of Rose Hall is sure to delight. Beautiful tropical gardens and personalities will colour your experience fun along the way!

The White Witch awaits you in the great house at Rose Hall. Dead more than a century, Annie Palmer still stirs memories of her reign as the mistress of the Rose Hall Great House.

Cursed by slaves, the White Witch Annie Palmer, turned a magnificent plantation into a hellhouse of atrocities. Countless slaves fell prey to her torture, and all three of her husband’s met their death at her hands go to website.

Beyond the Palladian portico the house is a bastion of historical style, with a magnificent mahogany staircase and doors, and silk wall-fabric that is a reproduction of the original designed for Marie Antoinette during the reign of Louis XVI.

Slaves destroyed the house in the ChristmasRebellion of 1831 and it was left in ruins for more than a century. In 1966 the three-story building was restored to its haughty grandeur.

Tours take in the rooms, including Annie Palmer’s bedroom upstairs, which has been (re)decorated in crimson silk brocades because, you know, red is the color of blood; the secret passage through which she was visited by her slave lover; her tomb; and the cellar with period objects and an English-style pub.

The tour guides are adept at their jobs and give you a real and captivating tale while describing Jamaica during the early era. Check here how to find the best heating service in temecula. Although the story does give you the creeps, be assured that you are not in danger.

In fact there are numerous weddings being conducted here as the grounds here are exceptionally and breathtakingly beautiful. All ages are welcome, however, the night tour may be a little too scary for young children.
